EOTC at St Teresa’s School

St Teresa’s School has been involved with Glenn Beach and his amazing outdoor education programmes since 2012. Through Glenn’s programmes students at our school have experienced mountain biking; kayaking; caving; rafting; fishing, camp cooking, high and low ropes and camps at Waiohine Gorge and Brookfields Wainuiomata.

Glenn has an amazing rapport with the students and is able to share his knowledge and love of the outdoors through programmes that have the students engaged, challenged and connected to the amazing outdoors that surround them.

Glenn’s programmes are highly organised from the RAMS and quality equipment, to the planning of meals for 3 days (and he is not a bad cook either!)

Glenn’s programmes build on the key competencies and are easily linked to other learning areas from the NZ Curriculum.

I have no hesitation recommending his programmes to other teachers.

Carrie Watson, Senior Team Leader, St Teresa 's School, Featherston

Our group of 30 year 10 students had a great time at KOEA. The food was excellent, the campsite ideal with fun and challenging activities on-site. The instructors communicated promptly and showed great skills with the students. Safety was always paramount in their organization.

We will be back and I have no hesitation in recommending Glenn and KOEA to primary and secondary schools alike.

Phil Kendon, HOD Chemistry WGTN College

Greytown School has used the services of KOEA and Glenn Beach to provide EOTC programmes for the school over the past 11 years. Glenn, has provided stimulating, challenging and exciting programmes for our Year 7 and 8 children over that time. He quickly develops a positive relationship with the children who eagerly respond to his instruction and guidance. I am also confident that the children's safety is a high priority during all of the activities conducted by Glenn and his team.
